This website is part of an Eagle Scout service project benefitting US military families. Ben’s goal was to collect two months’ worth of new books for the USO’s United Through Reading program at DFW Airport.

This USO program provides new books that soldiers deployed overseas can select to send home to their children. At DFW, the USO records videos of the soldiers reading the books aloud. When the soldiers depart, the USO sends the books and DVDs home to the soldiers’ families.

Soldiers’ children watch the videos  and read along with the books in hand. Sending the books and the DVDs allows the soldiers to stay connected with their families. It provides lasting recorded memories of parents that families cherish and may treasure forever.

Ben’s goal was to recruit an Army of Volunteers to spread the word and, if they can, donate some books.
